Mount Kenya Summit

Mount Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro. It is located in the Aberdare Range in Kenya, and is a popular destination for climbers and hikers. There are three main peaks on Mount Kenya: Batian, Nelion, and Point Lenana. Batian is the highest peak, at 5,199 meters (17,057 feet). Nelion is the second highest peak, at 5,188 meters (17,057 feet). Point Lenana is the third highest peak, at 4,985 meters (16,372 feet).

Not to be overshadowed by Mount Kilimanjaro, climbing Mount Kenya is a challenging but rewarding experience. The climb takes about six days, and hikers must ascend through four different climate zones: the rainforest, the moorland, the alpine desert, and the summit plateau.

Climbing Mount Kenya is a great way to experience the beauty of the African wilderness. For those that would like an outdoor adventure that is both challenging and off-the-beaten trail, this hike is a perfect choice.
